2010 Silver Apple Award Honorees
Direct and Interactive Marketing Leaders Share Honors at Annual Gala
On Thursday Evening, November 11, 2010, at New York's Hudson Theatre
NEW YORK, August 24, 2010 - The Direct Marketing Club of New York (www.dmcny.org
) announced today the recipients of its 2010 Silver Apple Awards, now in its 26th year. The Silver Apples recognize individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to direct and interactive marketing, and will be bestowed Thursday evening, November 11, at a gala at New York's Hudson Theatre.
The 2010 honorees include:
- Bruce Biegel, Senior Managing Director, Winterberry Group (New York, NY)
- Christine Slusarek, Executive Director, List and Database Marketing, Time Consumer Marketing, Inc. (New York, NY)
- Gene Raitt, Senior Vice President, Accident & Health, and Chief Marketing Officer, Asia, Allied World Assurance Company (Hong Kong, China)
- Jerry Cerasale, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs, Direct Marketing Association (Washington, DC)
- Karen Isenberg, Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Development, Specialists Marketing Services (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ)
- Ralph Drybrough, Chief Executive Officer, MeritDirect (White Plains, NY)
- Raymond Butkus, President & Chief Executive Officer, ARGI (Montvale, NJ)
- The corporate Silver Apple Award honoree is Alliant (Brewster, NY).
"This year's Silver Apples honorees represent a wide range of contributions to the direct and interactive marketing discipline, and truly these individuals and organization have made a difference in how we go to market, as strategists, as advocates, and as leaders in our field," said DMCNY Club President Pegg Nadler. "We are proud and excited to have these honorees among us, and to celebrate their achievements."
Each year, the Club's past presidents gather to select a handful of individuals and a corporate honoree to receive Silver Apples. The recipients must have at least 25 years' experience in the business, a commitment to volunteerism and leadership, and a record of vital contributions to the growth of the industry.
This year's event marks the 26th anniversary of the award. In celebration, the Club is planning a special gala evening to be held in Manhattan's historic Hudson Theater at 145 West 44th Street. The black-tie event will take place on Thursday, November 11, 2010, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
In addition to honoring the 2010 Silver Apple award winners, the gala will serve as a key fundraising event for the Club to support its programs and scholarships for college-level educational curricula and content in direct and interactive marketing. Ticket sales are underway and space will be limited to 35 tables.
