 Fresh and delicious berries from Garwood Orchards in LaPorte, IN are available for delivery beginning this Saturday, May 29.  It's been strawberries and more, since 1831 for the Garwood's!  Not many family businesses can claim that longevity and it's something they don't take lightly. They currently farm over 350 acres which includes approximately 200 acres of apples and 150 acres of peaches, raspberries, pumpkins, strawberries, cherries, sweet corn, peppers, cucumbers, and a variety of other vegetables.    

Strawberries are scrumptious when served with fresh cream or dipped in melted chocolate. They make excellent preserves and jams and are delicious when baked into muffins, pies and scones. For a savory sweet treat try adding them to salads or serving with a robust cheese. Strawberries pack a powerful nutritional punch.  One serving of strawberries - about 8 strawberries - is an excellent source of vitamin C. In fact, a serving of strawberries provides more vitamin C than an orange!  Also, berries contain essential vitamins, fiber, potassium and phytochemicals. Share these treats with your customers while you can!
